I managed to tear myself away from my sewing machine this afternoon to throw on some red lipstick and take a quick outfit photo. Some days I find myself wishing for the perfect pair of pants, especially when a pair of tights can't stand up to the winter wind. I found these a few months ago at a thrift store and I really like them. I tried on an endless number of pairs before I could find one that fit even a little bit. I go through the same hassle at real stores, too, and lately I've had no luck finding the right pair. I've got my eye on something like this or this. I want a simple, straight-leg paint in something other than khaki or black! Surprisingly difficult to find. I've even thought about sewing my own pair, but finding the right pattern would be a whole other issue. For now, I will keep searching.
And, of course, this post would not be complete without a couple of cat outtakes...

you are adorable! you remind me I need to wear my red lipstick more. great blouse and those pants look so comfortable and classic - and still chic! I have a difficult time finding pants AND shorts. either too short (for either) or too tight or too... not flattering? so difficult! sizing is all over the place depending on the brand and decade they are from too! ha, oh the woes of being a girl.

holy moly! I have pants so similar and took a photo to put up but totally forgot, when I get back to home I will do it...mine were also thrifted and are mens pants so are slightly too bit but a belt fixes that quick smart!

Usually this means wearing thick, appropriately modest boxer shorts, but bloomers, slips, briefs, & boxer-briefs all work as well.

You are adorable! you tell me I need to use my red lip stick more. excellent shirt and those jeans look so relaxed and vintage - and still chic! I have difficulties discovering jeans AND bermuda. either too shorter or too firm or too... not flattering? so difficult! measurement is all over the position with regards to the company and several years they are from too! ha, oh the problems of being a young lady.
